New York should prosecute 16- and 17-year-olds charged with violent felonies in adult court.
Under New York's Raise the Age law, felony cases against 16- and 17-year-olds start in a special youth part of criminal court, and many are moved to family court. This would keep violent felony cases against them in adult court.

This policy took serious crimes out of the adult justice system and put them into a system that was never designed to handle violent offenders.
I will put an end to this policy and put consequences back where they belong.
