Federal law should override state laws that regulate artificial intelligence.
Several states have passed their own rules on artificial intelligence, covering areas such as safety testing, deepfakes and hiring tools. A federal override would replace those state rules with one national standard.

We need a federal standard that includes a three year 'safe harbor' law giving AI companies a consistent standard to meet before additional requirements are implemented at the state level.
